Could you stay in shape no matter your age?

It is so important to stay in shape no matter where you are in life and your age.

We get to live longer, and I think fitness and health plays a big role in that.

The question is, ‘’Are we living better?’’

Some people who are living longer are not living better. They're either walking with canes, or walkers, and even in wheelchairs. They have constant pain all the time. A lot of them have brain disorders from memory loss to confusion.

What we eat, how we think, our environment and how much we exercise all play a vital role in the aging process. - TWEET THIS

You only get one body so make sure you take care of it!

In the aging process, we lose muscle, our hormones decline, we lose flexibility, and we lose nervous impulse quickness.

It’s important to do flexibility and stretching exercises.

Aging

Get your exercise in from different sources like biking, hiking, and climbing. The number 1 thing is that whatever you do, you've got to be able to recover from that. - TWEET THIS

Every time you exercise, it's not just a physical expenditure, it's a psychological expenditure. The brain controls the body, whether you are walking, out riding a bike, whatever activity. It's mental and drives the physical systems of your body. When you exercise, you're basically telling your nervous system, muscular system, nervous system, and your hormonal systems, "Let's stay young. Let's keep doing. This is good for us"

Exercise is part of a lifestyle protocol that people can do to ensure the best health and physical integrity for the body. - TWEET THIS

It doesn't take to take that much time. You don't have to go to the gym two hours a day, six days a week. Just give yourself 5, 10, 15 minutes every day. It doesn't even have to be all at once. You can do 5 minutes in the morning, 5 minutes in the afternoon, 5 minutes before you go to bed. After you get out of bed is an important time, because your body has been stagnant.

Elderly Exercise

The number 1 thing in Senior Fitness is mobility. You want to keep the muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments to where they're flexible. This is what allows you to be active and able to move with ease. If you don’t exercise, start now. Commit to yourself and your body. You will be glad you did in your Golden years! Here are the 6 main exercises you should try to incorporate throughout your week.

1.Stretching Exercises

2.Balance Exercises

3.Chair Exercises

4.Core Exercises

5.Cardio and Low-Impact Exercises

6.Strength Exercises
