3 Ways to Stay Focused.

How do you stay focused on your goals? That's always a tough one.

My last two videos, my last two blogs and articles were on focusing. What are you focusing on? Well, it's tough to stay focused, especially in today's world. You start a new diet and you smell the fast food restaurants, or you want to train for a marathon or you want to go to the next level in your business, and all of a sudden you decide to go out with your buddies and party. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Write down what you want. Post it where you could see it often and read it.
  • Create a vision board Cut out pictures (use magazines) of what you want. I'm a visual person, so I like vision boards. If I want a new sports car, I go find it, cut it out and paste it on my board. If I want to go to the beach, I cut out a picture of the beach and paste it on the board hang where I could see it daily.
  • Find an accountability partner. Someone you can bounce ideas off. Find somebody who will be there when you're struggling as well as celebrating your successes.

When somebody buys into a treatment plan and continues coming into our office, I view as part of my job to become his/her accountability partner, to hold them accountable to what they need to do.

Don’t take me wrong here.

It's your goals, it's your life and your decisions, of course, but an accountability partner would hold you responsible to complete the goals you had set out to achieve, in a timely fashion.Tweet this!
